At age 19, Atlanta based artist, JBAR has already accomplished what most superstars
aspire to do in their lifetime. This includes, performing in sold out arenas, features on
albums, and tour performances with hip-hop megastars Lil Wayne and Soulja Boy.
Born Justin Benjamin Alex Rucker, JBAR has been into music since childhood.
He’s
been actively involved in any and every school music and theatre program he
could join since grade two. Participating in chorus and acting in school plays
gave him an early interest in developing his talents as an entertainer. By fifth
grade, JBAR promised himself he would get serious with his music. He started to
record himself on his Beatbox, and would create demo tapes. He picked up a
phone book and started calling all the music labels and companies he could find
listed, asking where he could send his demo.
At age 16, he recorded his first song, “Don’t Go”, rapping with a friend’s sister.
From there he continued to develop his skills as a rapper. Some time later, he
hooked up with Soulja Boy through a mutual friend. This was at the onset of
Soulja Boys career. Soulja Boy went on the Crank Dat tour that summer. When
Soulja Boy came back to Atlanta they linked up. He let Soulja boy hear some
work. Later on, Soulja Boy came back and asked if he was serious and wanted to
pursue his career as a rapper. JBAR was serious and ready. In 2004 they formed
the SODMG (Stacks On Deck Money Gang).
Soulja Boy has been a great influence on JBAR’s music and career. He’s helping
JBAR to hone his skills while teaching him the ins and outs of the music industry,
from conducting interviews to having JBAR perform on tour with him. JBAR is the
next face of SODMG, and expects to be one of the biggest artists in the music
industry. Since he started working with Soulja Boy, he has performed at packed
out arena concerts, done voice over’s for his character in the Soulja Boy Tellem
Animated Series, and has been featured on various mixtapes and albums.
JBAR is a rare breed in the music industry. His voice and skills as a singer and
rapper create a unique sound that will leave a lasting impression on Rap, R&B,
and Pop Music for years to come. When it comes to his music, he is no stranger
to hard work. He is always seeking to improve and develop his sound, spending
10-12 hour sessions in the studio, and writing daily. His music possesses an
animated energy that is inspired by his personal relationships, girls, and draws
on his life experiences.
Despite his young age, JBAR has a mature state of mind when it comes to his
business. He is an entrepreneur with an established clothing line “JBAR &
CUPID CLOTHING”. The line was released in a Fashion Show put on by Eye-
Kandee Fashions in 2007. As an entrepreneur, he finds himself inspired by
people around him. He wants to become an example that you can make it
through hard work and dedication. Future ventures he would like to pursue
include developing and expanding his clothing line, acquiring new businesses,
and possibly working a deal in the candy industry.
Upcoming projects are the SODMG Album, Soulja Boy Album, and his debut
album. He is heavily influenced by 90s party music such as Uncle Luke and
Wrecks n Efx. Artists he would like to work with in the future range from Erykah
Badu to Missy Elliot, Drake and Outkast. He plans to continue developing himself
as an entertainer, and would like to pursue acting roles, and more voice over’s
utilizing his unique voice. The sky seems like the limit for the young, Atlanta
native. Its evident, JBAR has only just begun.
A Sacramento, California native Maserati Rick (formerly known as Lil’ Cyco), got his music industry start on Underground Hip-Hop Legend C-Bo’s West Coast Mafia Records imprint. Learning under one of Gangster Rap’s most known figures proved to be very beneficial, and is evident in the quality of music and tireless work ethic that Rick has shown throughout his short but already successful career. The release of his debut solo album, “Street Chronicles” was accepted with open arms by the streets. Also released the same day as his solo album was a group album titled, West Coast Mafia Gang “Gang Affiliated” where he stood toe to toe and verse for verse with his seasoned labelmates (C-Bo, Killa Tay, 151, & Speedy), making him the only artist to date to have a solo album and group album released on the same day. He proved to be a fresh new strong voice for the people of the inner city. The momentum picked up in snowball fashion, with features on other projects outside of the West Coast Mafia workflow. People were standing up and taking notice to the new “voice of the West Coast”. Multiple cameos and features later it was time for his second solo effort, appropriately titled “Get Money, Have Heart”. From song 1 of his 2nd project, the artistic growth was immediately evident. “Get Money, Have Heart”, was met with greater acceptance than “Street Chronicles” as far as fanbase, however label support was minimal. EXIT: Lil’ Cyco – ENTER: Maserati Rick… Now on his own while still maintaining his West Coast Mafia family ties, Maserati Rick started his own label Blue Chip Music Group. The 1st release from his label will be his highly street anticipated “Sky’s The Limit”. The lead single from the album, titled, “SHE BAD” is receiving support from the West Coast to the Mid West and East Coast… From the beginning of his career Maserati Rick has proved that he can stand bar for bar lyrically, and business move for business move with the industries most relevant artists. It’s only a matter of time before he becomes a household name. So I guess it’s fitting that his 3rd release be titled, “SKY’S THE LIMIT”…
Born in San Deigo, California, Young Rell was torn between a broken home.
Raised in the obviously talent bred but turbulent area of Virginia Beach,VA
as a youth Rell let the music control his mind and
forget about the negative situations that he found himself in. “If it was
not for the love of hip-hop, I would not be the man I am today.” said Young
Rell. With positive influences from close family and friends, Young Rell
decided once he graduated high school in 2006, he would pursue his dreams of
being a hip hop artist. But Young Rell is not your typical hip hop
artist he has the uncanny abillity to write simple yet strong choruses as well as write a variety of concept records.

Desmond R. Taylor, who sometimes goes by the moniker Taylormade and recently reconstructed Ramone Beatz, is an emerging music producer, artist, and radio host, who is trying to enhance his prominence in the industry. The 24 year old HOUSTON, Tx resident is the CEO and producer of Taylormade Productions & Dtaybeatz Music. Alumni at Prairie View A&M University. Since age 14, Taylor has been enhancing his musical passion through rapping, singing and producing. HIS NEW SINGLE KING CROWN IS SOMETHING TO BE PLAYED! “I basically compose and produce original music my experience with radio allowed me to break through to inside industry connects,” Taylor said. “I work with multi-track recording programs, with condenser microphones to produce original Hip-Hop and R&B music, it’s not much but I make it happen.” Taylor lived an hour outside Oklahoma City in Lawton, Okla. before moving to Friendswood with his family and attending college. Having chosen to go to school in Prairie View due to its proximity to the Houstonarea, Taylor has taken the task of creating his work while at school in his apartment. Taylor’s musical passion was evident long before he arrived at college. “I was 10 or 11 years old in the third grade and my parents bought me a keyboard for Christmas,” said Taylor. “I would listen to hit songs and try to imitate them on the keyboard. I also sang in the church choir when I was younger. Plus, throughout high school and junior high school I was a part of an All-State Choir and received a certificate [for my work with them] my senior year in high school.” Given the feedback from his peers and CEOs of other record companies after meeting with them, it seems that Taylor has the potential to make waves within the industry. He certainly has a clear view of where he wants to take his life and doesn’t seem locked into his passion for music alone. “My biggest goal right now is to get my degree,” Taylor said. “Being at the school I’m at is actually helpful, since I am learning about the public relations aspect of the hip hop audience,” he said. Taylor is a man about his business, so although he takes joy in the creation of his music he also wants all people to take him seriously as an artist. He believes that the creation of music is not for everyone and should be handled with a certain level of respect. I play no games in the studio. Music is fun and should always be, but not everyone can just ‘hop on the bandwagon’ and think they can produce music all of a sudden. That’s one thing that agitates me. Music is a bloodline talent for me and not a fad.” Having been a “military brat,” DT moved from place to place and was able to experience many different areas of the country and world. This is likely what gives his work its unique sound0. “My music is not just one sound,” he said. I can sound like hip hop or make you feel like you are in India one day or Egypt the next. It’s also original because I use several snaps and snares to make one beat different from the next.” Taylor’s unreleased first album, unofficially titled “DeSmonStration,” should reflect this idea.The album should sound fully original. Mr. Taylor has revolutionized radio at Prairie View A&M University.

Really I’ve been doing this for real since i was 20, Im now 22. I started to really record my music with my boy E-z down in the I.E. He’s the one who really helped me out. Also my boy ghost8800. Who inspires you?
A few artist that inspire me are Elzhi, Slum Village, Common, Eminem, Kanye West, Talib Kweli, Andre 3000, 2 pac, Biggie, jus to name a few.
How has Youtube helped ya career?
Youtube helped my career to let people hear my music. I use youtube as one of my resources to share my music with the world .Youtube is very helpful.
Whats ya goal in music?
My goal in music is to inspire any other artist out there to put your heart into your music. Do you and only you. I want people to know that I am about my music. My goal is to open listeners ears and open there eyes to what hip hop can really do and represent to the people around the world. At the end of my career I want to be known as one of the greatist, I want to inspire people and put more postivity into this world.
In ya family who supports you the most?
My cousins in my family support me the most, like my cuzins Seun, Kevin, Brandon (aka Blizz) Sade. They really believe that I can do it and succeed, also my sister Patricia, she supports me alot. Also All my patnas yall know who yall are, they are like fam to me and the support me to a 100%.
If you could do a song with anyone, who would it be and why?
If i could do a song with anyone, that’s a hard one.
I really want to work with a lot of artist but if I had to choose.. I would have to say Ludacris or Nelly because tha first albums I’ve ever picked up off tha cd rack was ludacris… Back For The First Time and nelly… Country Grammar. That was back in the 6th grade…. So most likely one of them.
